Mukoruo – The Shadow Realm
- Introduction:
- The Mukoruo, commonly known as the Shadow Realm is seldom seen the same through different eyes and many believe that it has several layers. The Shadow Realm touches all, no matter what plane of existence and no matter what world. With this said, the following is what can generally be seen by those that interact with Shadow Silverleaf and those of Arlsyn with this ability.
- General Information:
- Mukoruo is classified as a transitive plane, or a plane that intersects with material planes and is generally used as a way to get from one place to another. It is also considered an elemental plane with elements of Mukoruo being controlled by those magi with the knowledge of how to do so. It is a plane that should never be ‘toyed’ with as you can never be certain what exactly you will come across.
- Appearance:
- Mukoruo is in a constant state of dusk where it appears that the sun has just set so the sky itself is black with the horizon being various shades of crimson. However, there is no sun and has never been. To those of the Light Realm (Any world/plane with a sun) it takes some getting use to. The terrain is the same as what would be expected if you walked out the door to your home, it consists of mountains, forests, plains and bodies of water and can be seen as an overlay of what already exists.
- Access:
- Whether access to Mukoruo is easy or difficult depends on the individual. Once again, one must be skilled in the practice or, in the case of Shadow, be born to the ability. The easiest way to enter the Shadow Realm is through a shadow, however in places like Whispin it can be more difficult because of the dual shadows. In these cases, the person must step into the area where the two shadows merge, otherwise they run a risk of being split.
For those without the ability, they must be in physical contact with someone who does have the ability. This physical contact consists of touching the Shadow Walker or touching something they are, an example would be touching a rope that is tied to the Walker. The first sensation that one feels when crossing between the Shadow Realm and the Light Realm, is that of ice jabbing into the skin cold at the worse, or having a bucket of ice water being poured over you, however once out of the inbetween the temperature feels no different than an early fall night
